As fate may have it...

We are pregnant!
Baby number three is well on the way!
The little miracle is due on my best friend Bec's birthday - 23rd January, I am 100% convinced it is Bec telling us it is ok to be happy, she is at peace.

We are currently at 23 weeks pregnant and already the strength in this little ones kicks is enough to take my breath away!
We chose not to find out the gender at our 20 week ultrasound, as this one is our last little bub I want to keep it a joyous surprise for when they make their arrival.

I have decided to have a baby sprinkling for this little one and have been busy planning for the little gathering we are planning on having in late November.
I am hoping to post some more pictures and posts along the way!

Introducing the newest littlest one!

On Tuesday 5th February I was admitted into the hospital for an induction. I had the prostin gel inserted at about 10pm and was told by the midwife on duty not to bother to much about contractions until I was at least three minutes apart, she then sent my partner home. Fast forward to 3am and that's when the contractions started, they started off at 8 mins apart and within the hour they had dropped to 3 minutes and absolutely painful! I called the midwife who sat with me and timed the contractions and told me she would be back soon to check on me and see how far dilated I was. I didn't see her for another hour. It was 6am when she finally came to check on me. I was 7cm dilated and I was finally able to call me partner and my mum to come to the hospital to support me in the final stages of labour (Yay). I was taken down to the delivery suite and hubby and mum met me there at 6:30am. I set myself up on the floor on my knees leaning over the birthing ball and as each contraction hit I'd rotate my hips in a circular motion to try and encourage baby down. Finally at 7:56am after a lot of tears, and a fear he wasn't going to ever come out, my handsome little man made his way into the world. I gave birth leaning over the birthing ball, no drugs, no need for stitches. My 10.5lbs bundle of goodness was born February 6th, Tilds adores him and I am absolutely in love!

41+1

Well today, I am officially 41+1 weeks pregnant! I never thought I'd make it this far AND still be pregnant.. come on baby, it's really time to come out!

We had our antenatal appointment, induction booking and ultrasound last Friday. Booked in for our induction on Wednesday. We go in on Tuesday night and the do the whole insert the gel thing. I'm really nervous about the whole deal. I don't want my waters broken, I want to start labor naturally! Labor hurts enough as it is without the gentle lead up with contractions haha!

Bubs @ 40+6 days. It's his head and apparently he is that low in my cervix he has a permanent forehead wrinkle =P

Well, what ever happens, happens for a reason I guess. Miss bug was a whole 9 days late and I was due to be induced the day after she was born. I still have one day left to do this on my own, come on body, don't let me down!

39/40

It has been a pretty long time between posts. It's not that my life is uninteresting and what not, its just the I have been so darn busy! This has been the first time since finishing up at work that I've actually had the want and effort to write something down.

Baby is progressing well and we are nearing our EDD nicely. He moves about like a trooper, so very strong already! He lets me get minimum sleep at night, I have never had insomnia this badly before. Worse then insomnia is that weird sleep thing where your not sure if you are asleep or awake? I had that last night.. feels like I haven't slept a wink. At all. So tired.

And then, on top of insomnia, I've been given dreadful heartburn and reflux, I burp a ridiculous amount of times throughout the day, when I do sleep I snore.. but at least I'm looking good and feeling healthy!

We finished the nursery off on the weekend, its looking rather cute, even if I do say so myself. We also did the whole massive house clean/ nesting! I started a quilt for bub, which probably wont get finished til after he is born and we finished off all his washing (about time really).

Miss Bug has been going well, we had a week long stay at the hospital 2 weeks ago due to an infection but she seems to have bounced back well and is back to her old happy self.

So, for now, we just play the waiting game and see how much longer we wait for the newest addition to make his appearance into the big wide world!

I cant wait!

This pregnancy is just flying by! The last few weeks have probably been the easiest out of all of them... despite the constant squirming in my tummy I have barely felt pregnant (besides not being able to bend over at all). We got an ultrasound on the weekend and our little cherub is doing well and looking quite handsome if I may say so myself.

I am, however, counting down the weeks until I go on maternity leave! Bring it on! With this week finished I will only have five for weeks of work to go.. sounds like a lot but I am truly hoping it will be as easy as the last couple of weeks.

Also, I have come to realise that a baby sitting DIRECTLY on your bladder is a bloody pain! I have never ever had to go to the toilet so much in my whole entire life.

On another note, we took Miss Bug to Newtown Festival on the weekend and she had an absolute blast! My lil thrill seeker went on all the rides and chilled in the sun listening to the live music and ate a sausage sizzle.
Lovely day out had by all!

Stay tuned for more happenings!

I heart my pregnancy body

I ABSOLUTELY love my pregnancy body.

It's probably the first time I've ever felt truly comfortable in my own skin.

It has taken me ages to build confidence in myself and to actually truly accept that I am me, I am perfect to myself and my beautiful daughter and to the baby growing inside of me.

I want my daughter to grow up with the confidence it took me 24 years and 2 pregnancies to develop.

To me, my daughter is the most beautiful little girl in the world and both her father and I remind her of this every chance we get.

Having body issues and no confidence is probably one of the worst feelings and it is definitely something I don't want her to feel.

So today (even though it's late), I am most definitely proud of my wonderful body, no matter how many stretch marks, lumps and bumps I may get.

I am me and I am happy to be who I am!

It's been a pretty good week on the home front. Setting up the nursery makes things really sink in... Wow, I'm having another baby! =P

Miss Bug has been sick with a viral infection (thanks preschool!) So this means days off school for her and days off work for me. On the positive it means I get to catch up on the house work!

Linking up with Tina

Come play along!!

Ooh the pain!

Well hello Monday! You, Monday, are a very long, tedious, painful day. I just want to say there is absolutely NOTHING fun about working full time and being a mum whilst pregnant and suffering from symphysis pubis dysfunction. Nothing at all.
Being a mum is the hardest as it's so difficult to explain to a three year old that mummy can't sit on the floor as mummy probably won't be able to get up without a) being in extreme pain and b) requiring the assistance of another adult to help her get up.
The pregnancy isn't all that bad if you take away the pain. Bubs kicks and moves about frequently which is such a joy. I love those little feelings. It's probably the best bit about pregnancy. That and the glowing skin and silky smooth hair! Booyah!
24 weeks. Still to many to go!

23 weeks

So, I'm twenty-three weeks. The weeks still seem to be flying. We had an ultrasound on Saturday night. Bubs is looking well and is very active.
The pregnancy.... Well.... Im carrying lower with this one so it's causing so much pain in my pelvis, so much so that it hurts when I walk, sit lie down or stand.
Other then that I've still had no other real issues. Morning sickness was non existent, there is minimal heartburn, my hair is all shiny and my skin is all glowy.....

Besides pregnancy, we've been having issues with the house we have purchased. It seems to be problem after problem. So much stress.

Got to take the bad with the good though.

22 weeks!

Well, I am officially 22 weeks pregnant (23 this friday)!

It's been going exceptionally quick this time round which is probably due to working full time and being a mumma bear to Miss Bug who is a rambunctious 3 year old princess!

We have been getting more and more kicks and the lovely partner felt bubs kicking last night for the first time. He was so excited, it was so sweet.

I think we are also on track for nursery equipment which, annoyingly enough, I can't start setting up until I know for sure where we will be living by January. It's all very exciting.

Miss Bug is being an absolute champion about having a new baby brother or sister and has even started blaming the new baby for things she has done. She reminds me so much of myself at that age haha.

I think that's pretty much all that's been happening lately, stick around for future updates.

The expecting!

Not so long ago, back in May on the day of my daughters 3rd birthday party we decided, on a whim, to do a home pregnancy test.
I'm not sure why, I was only a day late but we had one lying around so I thought "why not?". So off I went to pee on the little future changing stick and not even a minute later the faintest of second lines started to appear before my eyes. Shit!
I gave the mister the test and I think we kinda just stood there in shock before he finally broke the silence "guess we should postpone the wedding then?"
And so we did. We told me family 10 days later on my birthday and true to their form everyone was stoked.
We've only just reached 12 weeks and I have that long long stretch ahead of me. I'm not looking forward to being uncomfortable and huge, but if it's anything like the last pregnancy it won't be to bad.
We are due on the 27th January... I personally can't wait!
Watch with space for future updates haha.
