Not really from the weekend, but from this morning... Miss Tilda moved up a swimming class today, and like the proud mamma I am, I couldn't help but share with you all. Tilds can now "swim" without any swimming-aids!! Super happy for her. She is such a water baby, she always has a smile on her face when she is in the water.

Here she is holding her slip of paper that says she has moved up a class. After this picture was taken she ran through the doors with a big smile on her face and handed the lady behind the counter the slip. Her certificate should be ready by next week. Yay

We had Matilda's 2nd Birthday Party on Sunday. It was such a good day, and the best bit was that the rain held off til the end of the party. Here are some happy snaps of Tilda's big day.

On another note, today is my birthday.. It's been great, I've been getting lots of snuggles of my beautiful little girl, and I am looking forward to going out to dinner tonight to celebrate! 

So that's two birthdays down, and one more to go. It's Tilda's actual birthday tomorrow, after all the birthdays are done with it's just fathers day and Christmas to worry about until next year.. yay!

Our weekend was a bit random. We went to Katoomba to see the Three Sisters on saturday afternoon. It was freezing! We never intented to go but Tilds fell asleep in the car on the way to the cafe we were going to for lunch so we decided to keep driving to let her sleep for a bit longer. We ended up having a late lunch up the mountains.
Sunday we went on a lovely drive. Checked out the scenery. It was nice to be a passenger while someone else drove. Can't wait to see what this weekend holds for us!

We had a pretty quiet weekend, the weather was pretty miserable on Saturday so we went to an indoor play area. Tilds had loads of fun. She preferred the big kids slide over all the toddler equipment as per usual.

Strange to be back home and straight back into routine.

Can't wait for next holiday, fingers crossed we save enough to get to Tassie in May before Tilds turns two and I have to pay for her to fly.

Doll house fun at Nana's!!

Tomorrow we fly to Queensland so we had a pretty easy weekend, just chilled out at home and at Nana's. 

It was nice to finally have some peace and quiet away from our busy schedule.

It's my little brothers birthday today. He isn't quite so little. It's his 19th.

We are going to Pancakes on the Rocks for dinner to celebrate!

Here is a picture I took of him and Tilds last night. He walked in and Tilds looked at him, handed him a pencil and asked him to "dwaaor", so he did.

Well, It's a bit late... But here is my point and shoot from the weekend!

The first two pics are getting ready to march in the Mardi Gras Parade. It was such an amazing experience. We were marching for over an hour and it only felt like 20 minutes. The atmosphere was electric. It was definitely a memorable experience and I am glad I finally got to do it.

The next two pics is the 2nd quilt I finished friday night for the baby shower I went to on Sunday. It turned out more fabulous then what I thought it would and was a massive hit at the party.

The last two pics are from the baby shower I went to on Sunday. The baby shower was a pretty average event, but she got some pretty awesome gifts (including my awesome quilt that I made her lol).

We went to ikea on the weekend with Matilda's nana (dads side) and her godmum Trish.

We stopped and had coffee before we started the trek. Tilds had a bubbaccino, a marshmellow and a cupcake. Lucky girly.
We then went for our browse. Tilds had to try out every lounge and bed in sight!

She was that exhausted after the long day that she fell asleep in the carseat on the way home.

Nearly finished.

We had a pretty quiet weekend... It was my mums birthday on friday so we went out for dinner.
On saturday we went to an auction, then to a pet store and nan and pop got Tilds a fishy. Saturday night I finished the quilt I started last weekend. It looks pretty fantastic considering it was my first attempt at it.
Sunday I started my second quilt design, I finished the front of it on sunday night. Now I just need to decide what colour I want as the border and backing.

That was my weekend!
