Its already been a month!
It feels like only yesterday I was in hospital about to give birth to my 10 pound bundle of joy! I seriously can not believe it has been a full month! Its been an exciting one, having to relearn pretty much everything! Newborns are just so precious! There are some things which I absolutely love, like his beautiful newborn expressions, his soft skin, his gorgeous little sounds he makes and his newborn smell.
I honestly thought this time round would be so much harder than the first, but its actually easier, although, the tiredness is a bit of a pain.
I've also had my ups and downs with breastfeeding this time round. With my beautiful daughter, as much as I tried, she just wouldn't put on weight from breastfeeding. This time round we are trying everything possible to get past the 6 week mark. We are on drugs (Domperidone) , lactation cookies, SNS feeding systems, you name it and we are probably trying it!! We are getting there, slowly. We are having twice weekly visits with the health nurse to make sure we are having a steady weight gain.
Tilds seems to be a bit better with him. She loves giving him cuddles and being a fantastic little helper. If you need a nappy she will not only bring you a nappy, she will get you a wipe and a bag, put the nappy in the bag AND put the bag and nappy in the bin. She is super awesome! She seems to find him much more interesting now that he is making more noise and is a lot more alert which is great.
Anyways, it's time to go feed little mister. Keep an eye out for future posts!

So much can happen in six months!
Well hello there!
This will be my first post in nearly six months. SIX loooooonnnggggg months! Bloody exciting if you ask me!
So what's new?
Well, as I type this my FIANCÉE is in the kitchen making me dinner.. Yeah, I'm engaged now! How awesome is that! The lovely partner proposed at the most gorgeous look-out point after taking me out for dinner on the 21st March, 2012. It was so romantic.... even for the cynic I am haha!
My daughters third birthday is this Thursday coming. I have been an amazing mummy for three years now, I still find it hard to believe I have raised this absolutely gorgeous, strong minded, lovable little girl.
We are currently in the midst of planning our wedding, which is set for September 21, 2013. We had to post-pone the date due to "finances". We have found our perfect venue and pay the deposit on Monday, and we are currently looking for photographers and a celebrant. Planning a wedding is so very exciting!
We all went to Tasmania last month. That was pretty cool. Tasmania has been a place on my vision board for the last year and a half now, so I was pretty happy to mark it off my list. We had a great time there. We visited the cadbury factory, picked fruit, check out some old goals. It was loads of fun doing stuff as a family... just the partner, Tilds and I.
Thats pretty much whats been happening in the last six months.. besides working, easter and mothers day. We also got some pretty cool news to share, but I'll save that for another post!

Circus night!

| Inside the Circus! |
Last Friday I found out the circus was in town, so in typical me style, I convinced Tilda's dad and my partner to come along with Tilds and I to the circus. I haven't been to the circus since I was a child, and it was Tilda's first time.
We arrived and brought our tickets, ringside, brought our popcorn and doughnuts (can't see a circus without popcorn!) and us adults got coffee, we then proceeded in to sit down. The second it started little Tilds was mesmerised! Her eyes looked in wonder at the lions, tightrope walker and trapeze acts. I found it more interesting to watch the gorgeous expressions on miss Tilda's face then to actually watch the show.
It was a pretty cold night, but I am so glad we went. In a sense it was very nostalgic for me. It brought back so many memories from my childhood. My little brother and I, watching the elephants, lions and clowns, eating our popcorn, and jumping in our seats when the tight rope walker nearly slips, but instead makes a full recovery and follows it up by doing several back flips on his tight rope!
Oh how I love the circus!

That horrible feeling..
This last week Ive been pretty down. Everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong. Nothing has seemed to work at all. It's just been "one of THOSE weeks". Maybe it's just my mindset? I don't know anymore.
Tilda's dad has his Army interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed he gets in. It's something he has really wanted to do for so long, and to be honest.. It will be great for me when he is away doing training. Peace to myself without lame excuses as to why things have happened (eg. what he did on monday... still pisses me off!!! I wont give to much away, but really... he sure knows how to make the week turn bad!).
TAFE has been an epic drag this weekend. It's just gone so slow, and has been a very soul destroying event.
Im full of complaints tonight, so, time for the positive!
Tilds has become very grown up in the last week or so.
She has used her potty by herself and is letting us know when she wants to use it!
After complaining about Tilda not eating her vegetables, she has started eating them again.. I should actually say devouring them, especially carrots!
Her voice has lost that babyish sound it had to it, she is actually sounding more grown up. Makes me realise how quickly this time has gone.
Next month she turns two!!
Tilds has started having proper conversations with us! It's amazing! She just woke up one morning and started saying full sentences!
She is our little comedian. If we giggle at anything she does, she will repeat it several times just so we laugh some more.
Everyday she amazes and excites me with her new found skills and talents. She is growing and changing so quickly. It sort of feels a bit like "blink and you will miss it". It just goes to quick.
Thanks for reading!

Whoopsi daisy!

Well, Tilds gave herself a black eye today. She didn't get a nap at daycare so this arvo at Nana's (Matt's house) she was in that over-tired kind of hyper... So she was jumping around being silly and bam! She whacked her head on the side of the futon (metal arm rests) and that was it, instant black eye.
She was good though, she had a cry for about a minute and then got distracted with her car.
We really need to change daycare places. Bossy toddler is still with Tilds. When I get a free day (hopefully tomorrow morning) I'll hunt around for a good place to take her.
On a positive note, I have my "pamper pack" appointment tomorrow. I'm so excited, I got the gift voucher for it for christmas so it's well overdue. I get a facial, massage, eyebrow wax and my eyelashes coloured. It's good timing because I'm performing in the Mardi Gra parade this saturday! I also have my cousins baby shower on sunday. My weekend is so busy!

1.1.11
Today is 1.1.11.
The FIRST day
of a
new decade
&
a new year!
How very exciting!
New years eve for us was spent with the people we love and care about... and feeling old and tired meant staying in and watching Sydney's fireworks on the T.V. at midnight.
Tilda & I at her second cousin's 1st birthday party on new years eve.
Now my lil darling princess is sound asleep, still exhausted from the last two weeks. I can't wait to get us all back into the old routine, with a new twist!

Another year....

It's hard to believe another year has gone by so fast.
So many things have happened. Many mistakes have been made, but many positive things have happened. It's hard to decide whether or not it has been a bad year or a good year but the answer is clear enough when I look at my beautiful daughter.
Every year that I spend with her in it is a fantastic year. She brightens up the world, and no matter what happens throughout the year, its always a good one.
Some great things that happened in 2010
- Matilda's first easter, and first (and second) trip to the easter show
- I celebrated my 22nd birthday with the people I love the most
- Matilda celebrated her first birthday!
- I made it through my first year of parenting somewhat well!
- My first "real" mothers day.
- We had many excursions to the beach
- We went to Queensland
- Matilda's second christmas. She actually got into it this year and enjoyed opening her presents. She even learnt how to say "Santa"!
Until next year. Peace.

Summer days

Nothing better then spending time at the beach on a beautiful summer day like today.
The water was absolutely perfect.
Tilds enjoyed building sandcastles with Nana.
So relaxing.
