Well hello there!
This will be my first post in nearly six months. SIX loooooonnnggggg months! Bloody exciting if you ask me!
So what's new?
Well, as I type this my FIANCÉE is in the kitchen making me dinner.. Yeah, I'm engaged now! How awesome is that! The lovely partner proposed at the most gorgeous look-out point after taking me out for dinner on the 21st March, 2012. It was so romantic.... even for the cynic I am haha!
My daughters third birthday is this Thursday coming. I have been an amazing mummy for three years now, I still find it hard to believe I have raised this absolutely gorgeous, strong minded, lovable little girl.
We are currently in the midst of planning our wedding, which is set for September 21, 2013. We had to post-pone the date due to "finances". We have found our perfect venue and pay the deposit on Monday, and we are currently looking for photographers and a celebrant. Planning a wedding is so very exciting!
We all went to Tasmania last month. That was pretty cool. Tasmania has been a place on my vision board for the last year and a half now, so I was pretty happy to mark it off my list. We had a great time there. We visited the cadbury factory, picked fruit, check out some old goals. It was loads of fun doing stuff as a family... just the partner, Tilds and I.
Thats pretty much whats been happening in the last six months.. besides working, easter and mothers day. We also got some pretty cool news to share, but I'll save that for another post!

Soooo....
Well, I've been kinda slack on the posting side of things. Heaps of pictures but not much of everything else. This probably wont be changing any time soon, but the pictures will keep coming.
I've been pretty busy studying, and now that I'm on holidays I've been procrastinating. I'm quite good at not doing what I'm suppose to be doing! Thus far, my kitchen is spotless, my gardening is finally getting sorted (goodbye jungle - hello semi-country cottage garden). If I put all that countless energy that I've spent doing other things into actually doing my assignments I may be getting somewhere!
I dont know... I've kinda lost my inspiration. I didn't have much to begin with, but I think it's completely gone now. I need to find it again. I have four assignments building up and not an interest in one of them. I'm starting to loathe the word sociology. I can't even think of an introduction for my sociology essay - that's how bad it is.
I guess it's been put on hold because I've been making up for lost time with Tilds. It's hard not seeing her during the days. I know I'm trying to build us a better life but I still feel like a pretty crappy parent for not spending all my time with her. What's worse is I know that I have many more years of studying in front of me. At the end of this year I will have my Diploma in Social Services, and next year.. off to uni to continue on.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I know it's there, I just can't see it at the moment.
Well, enough procrastinating, I'm going to attempt an introduction on my sociology assignment!
Ciao!

Over the last couple of weeks I've been very neglectful of my little old blog. I've been ridiculously and quite unusually sick. I have been sick since the end of January. Every single day, ranging from fevers to the flu! This being said, I have been pretty exhausted.
I started back at TAFE last week, so hopefully by the end of the year (November) I will have my diploma in community services, and, (fingers crossed) Uni next year. I'm kinda excited.. but its very daunting. I did alright last year but this year there is a lot more work involved.
Well, that's all I'm writing for tonight. Those are my excuses for being so slack lately!! I hope to get into a routine soon enough and hopefully then I can get back into blogging.
Have a good one!!

long weeks
The last couple of weeks have been extremely long and have felt like they just wouldn't finish! The weekends have been fantastic, but the weekdays just seem to drag.
There is only one reason behind this- TAFE assessments! For some reason, they packed all our assessments into two short weeks, which in turn, made my life a living hell. It is very hard trying to type up 1000 word essays and prepare 15 minute presentations whilst changing nappies and attempting to create nutritious, healthy and tasty meals a one year old will eat! And to make matters much more fun, the little miss decided that this was the week she would get two new teeth and the flu! No sleep for either of us! But we got through it, just. I think next semester I will try to be better organised.
Last weekend we went to Matilda's friend, Margot's, first birthday party. It was lots of fun! Matilda played in the ball pit with her two best friends, Margot & Lisa. We ate cake and fairy bread, and then we had a good night sleep. We met Matilda's friends Margot & Lisa when we went to a baby care course, and they have been friends ever since.
Lately Matilda has had bad separation anxiety. Any time I leave, even just to go outside for a minute, she screams as though I'm leaving her forever. She doesn't do it with her father, Just with me. It's pretty horrible to listen to as I'm walking out the door. I guess it's something we need to work on.
